So as you know, the last few weeks I've been busy packing to move house. Well good news, the packing is over! We are finally moved! Just got a LOT of unpacking to do now! It's a nice house, a bit smaller than the old one, so it looks like a fair bit of our junk stuff will stay in boxes.

I hadn't seen it until the girls and I came over on Thursday night. It was all up to hubby to find a place as he was here working while I was 4 hours away packing! Needless to say, I was very nervous about seeing it for the first time! But I was worried for no reason, as it's perfectly fine. For now.

We hope to be in the market to buy our first home in about a years time, so I have to think about the big picture, not what this place doesn't have or how big (or small) the bedrooms are.
I've decided to make a list of all the good points about it, and focus on them. So, here goes:

  1. Great sized back yard for Emily to play, and I can see it all from the kitchen window. Although it's too cold at the moment to play out there!
  2. Smaller house = less cleaning!
Oh dear, this isn't going well! Might have to work on this list over the next couple of weeks, after all this is only day 4!

Hey Belinda, my house is small, so I'll share some points you might be able to put on your list too:
Great time to downsize and declutter. You'd be suprised just how much 'junk' is in your stuff!
Is this new place cheaper? Able to put more money away to buy your own house?
Living in smaller space will make the kids appreciate a bigger house when you do move!
Limited space = closer family... literally! LOL

When it comes to buying a place my thing is making sure there are plenty of cupboards! Not to fill to the brim but be able to store linen, children's games and toys, clothes :) Hope hubbyy picked something nice :)
